The Science Camp is an interdisciplinary exchange and networking platform. In an informal and intimate atmosphere, scientists from all disciplines/joint projects at the University of Rostock and the affiliated institutes present their own research topics during the popular poster session, openly offer other scientists potential synergies for active networking and cooperation and keep an eye out for existing and new contacts. The Science Camp is an important point of orientation for young scientists and offers representatives of the state government and industry an opportunity to gain an overview of the status of current research projects.

Meeting up, getting to know each other, finding out information and exchanging ideas - that is the focus of the event.

You will be surprised at how diverse and forward-looking the research at the University of Rostock is. You will be impressed by the interplay between research and business at the almost 600-year-old University of Rostock.

We cordially invite you!

The Science Camp has been taking place since 2012. The penultimate Thursday in November has established itself as a fixed date.

In short: For all those interested in research who feel addressed.

Scientists from the University of Rostock and the affiliated institutes are cordially invited to present their research topics in the poster session or the science slam.

Visitors are very welcome.

At the Sience Camp, there will be the opportunity to exchange ideas at the information stands of players from the fields of promoting young researchers, research funding, start-ups and other institutions.

The research camp is organised and financed by the Pro-Rector for Research, Talent Development and Equal Opportunitiesr (PFT).

As a researcher, you will have the opportunity to talk to colleagues about research topics/projects in a relaxed atmosphere. Familiarise yourself with the university's support facilities.

As a doctoral candidate, you will have the opportunity to present your research topic, find out about the practical aspects of a career in science and discuss your research work with academics at all career stages.

As a curious visitor interested in research, the Science Camp gives you an insight into the research landscape of the presenting institutions and gives you the opportunity to talk directly to scientists.
